It’s that time of year… y’all know where I’m going with this. Between our day to day routines and work responsibilities, we are now trying to be the ultimate superwoman. Add in hours searching for the perfect gift, attending (or hosting) holiday parties, and making time to celebrate with both families! Oh, let’s not forget the amount of waisted time sitting in traffic while completing these tasks or traveling to see friends and family. In theory, the holiday season is about seeing loved ones and celebrating new and old traditions. But it doesn’t always feel that way. Instead of feeling stressed and overwhelmed this year, try these five tips for staying organized this holiday season, and have your best year yet! Ps, be sure to let me know if you’ve got any holiday organization tips in the comments below!
How much time have you spent frantically running around searching for a missplaced item during the holidays? Or what’s one item you currently own and can’t live without? Tile is creating a world where everyone can find everything that matters! By adding the Tile to your favorite item, the network and mobile app work together to help you locate your things, thus allowing you more time to create new memories with friends and family. TO use follow these simple steps below:
1. Attach Tile to anything you don’t want to lose. Tile isn’t just for keys and wallets, it can be used in those sentimental items you can’t imagine life without! For me, adding it to my camera was a no brainer! Between all the projects I’m working on for TSF and wanting to capture holiday memories for friends and family, there’s no way I could afford to loose my sidekick!
2. Can’t find the item? Use your phone to help locate it. If your Tile is within the 100-foot Bluetooth range, it will play a loud tune until you find it.
3. Keep track of it with the Tile app. Join the worlds largest lost-and-found community and work together to find everything that matters. By keeping the app running in the background, it will remember the last place and time you had it.
2. Holiday Event Planning
Keep a calendar out in the open and update it frequently with what events you RSVP to! Be specific with times, locations, and whether you need to bring a gift. This will help you plan ahead and ensure you’ll have enough time to get it all done. Also as a friendly reminder, don’t be afraid to say no! As the weeks progress, learn to rest and not over commit.
3. Holiday Home Decorating
Make it a fun event! Set a goal on when you want to be 100%, but in the meantime, have fun with it. Bake cookies while you’re listening to your favorite carols, pour a glass of wine, and get the family involved! Sometimes these unexpected times are when the best memories are made.
4. Buy Gifts Early
Have a list of ideas ready by mid-November to help you score Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals and take advantage of other seasonal bonuses—like free shipping—when you order gifts online. Don’t forget to give back to your community and shop local when you can!
5. Quality Over Quantity
I briefly mentioned this in #2, but it’s important to spare yourself unnecessary hassle by focusing on quality over quantity with every aspect of your holiday preparations! Set attainable goals and limits to keep your responsibilities manageable, and stick to them. Plan fewer family activities over the holiday season and make them count. Carry on traditions you cherish, but don’t try to pack too much into your schedule.
