Simple, flowy and carefree, this pretty garden party maxi dress is perfect for soaking up the sunshine and roaming wherever the day takes you! I honestly cannot believe that summer is coming to an end, where has the time gone? I’ve allowed myself to take a little bit of a breather these past two weeks, and it really has been quite refreshing. I launched my first ever blog post on July 10, 2014, and since then it feels like I’ve been constantly on the go. Over the years I have felt the pressure to be constantly creating content, pushing myself to grow my audience across ALL social platforms, and perform at a high level, just like I would in any other job. While I pride myself on having a lot of drive and motivation, it becomes increasingly difficult for me to create a work/ life balance when I am now my own boss!
In an inudstry that has become overly saturated in the last few years, and with new ways to get ahead emerging every day, it really is hard to stay motivated and encouraged. With the holidays quickly approaching, I really wanted to take a back seat this month to allow myself to rest and recharge. It’s funny how I will still find myself still planning ahead, jotting down ideas for the upcoming holiday season, and feeling bad if I haven’t hit publish on my post by 8am, aka Friday’s post was missing some text LOL. Sure I’m disappointed my engagement has gone down on Instagram, and maybe my carefully curated feed is sub-par, but there a huge sense of relief that I can’t even begin to describe when I’m able to post an image or tweet and put my phone down immediately. A break is needed every once in a while, and for my own sanity, this one was well overdue!
