Today’s post is a little out of the norm for me as I celebrate another year of life! This year has gone by so fast. We are now heading into a busy holiday season and I constantly find myself torn between what parts of my life should be shared here on The Styled Fox, and which should remain private. So today I’ve asked my boyfriend Chris to share a few things I bet you didn’t know about me… enjoy!
.) Anna is a great big sister to her little sister and best friend, Leslie Fox Gagnon. Anna helped her little sister go to Nursing school, which Leslie has successfully completed and now is working towards getting her nursing anesthetist certification, but Anna also gave Leslie her first car. Anna is consistently unsung for the things she does for others and her actions speak louder than her words.
.) Anna had the worst highlights in her high school senior pic. I’ll save her the embarrassment and not show you the photo…
.) She was a dancer at the age of three; ballet, tap, jazz. You name it, she did it!
.) Anna used to be one of the pickiest eaters when we first started dating. Me being a huge foodie, this was a flag in the beginning. She didn’t even like pizza, soup, sushi and cheese just to name a few. But she warmed up and now eats all of those things. Flags gone whew!
.) Anna is a huge decorator and holiday theme enthusiast. I know a lot of people decorate for holidays but for Anna, if there’s a holiday, (i.e., Christmas, Halloween, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, etc.) she will go balls to the wall in decorating our house. But I don’t mind because it does put you in the holiday spirit a lot more.
.) She LOVES her naps especially with the pups.
.) She does NOT like coffee so we have to find her other healthy alternatives to caffeine. She uses this as an excuse to drink soda (only Coca Cola) so she can get her “caffeine” fix for the day, but I try to steer her away from soft drinks as best I can.
.) She has a tin jar on the table side next to the couch in the living room that she keeps Hershey’s chocolate kisses in for herself and the dogs. When she wants the dogs to come to her she’ll shake the can and give them a Hershey kiss (and a human one). This jar tradition goes back to the days when she was a child and her dad would hide his Hershey kisses in the tin and would catch her stealing them when he wasn’t looking. After he passed away, Anna asked her mom if she could have it, and now it will always have a home on our side table.
.) One of Anna’s best friends in her life was her first dog Dasher. He was a rescue golden retriever mix. Dasher had been with Anna since she was in college and he lived to be 10 years old. He was with Anna when she moved from different cities throughout NC, to NYC, and back to NC again. He was there to help her through all the break-ups and relationships, when she had a bad day, to put a smile on her face, to be the little or big spoon during those naps. Dasher was her consistency, her rock, and best friend during those years.
.) She loves her home team sports. You’ll find her rooting for the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens all the way from Texas. It will get real interesting if our teams ever play each other… house divided!
