If you’re like me, you’re always looking for fun and creative ways to spend quality time with your beau. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good ‘Netflix and Chill’ night like everyone else, but even that gets a little old after awhile! So with the first romantic holiday of the year is just around the corner, I thought what better time to share 5 last minute Valentine’s date ideas?
Have you ever met someone who didn’t like tacos? Seriously. Whether this is a first date, or you are looking for an inexpensive way to spend some low-key quality time together, plan a route with accompanying drinks. It’s a great way to check out some new local spots, aka a mini adventure! I may even plan this date for Chris and I… 😉
BOOZY PICNIC IN THE PARK
Maybe you’re in one of those situations where you are looking for a little less formal (and awkward) date idea? Like a “I couldn’t say know when he asked, I felt bad!” kinda situation? Been there, done that! So for those who are in warmer climates this time of year, try suggesting a casual boozy picnic in the park! It’s as casual as getting together for drinks, with the perks of open sky and fresh air. Grab some lunch to-go, snacks, and don’t forget the alcohol!
Salons typically run specials during this romantic holiday season, which means you should definitely take advantage of the extra rest and relaxation! It’s nothing super extraordinary, but indulgent enough to brag about to friends. Plus, what better time to indulge a little bit? So treat ‘yo self! Ps, if you’re feeling adventurous, try a facial-and-pedicure combo package. I don’t know a single man who couldn’t use a little foot TLC!
A COOKING CLASS
I’ve been dying to try this since we observed one in Charleston a few years ago! It’s a great way to spend time together, which you’ll recoup by dining at home the next few weekends. Sip some wine while cooking a delicious meal? Yes, please! Plus attending a group class allows you to meet other people your own age, aka much different than the club scene!
Not at the club— I mean real dancing. You can take a class, hit a salsa club, or go see live music that makes you want to groove. Chris and I took a few dance classes back in Charlotte, and without fail, every holiday he talks about gifting each other classes!
How do you plan to spend the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday? Let me know in the comments below! Happy weekend friends, thanks for stopping by!
