Greetings and Happy Monday from snowy + cold NYC loves! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and your day is off to a great start! We have just a few more days left of #NYFW and I thought I’d kick off a recap of my trip today! If you’ve missed any of the fun, be sure to connect via the social media icons to your left, as well as add me on Snapchat for a behind the scenes look of my travels.
Packing for a week long trip is always hard, especially when you’re anticipating frigid temps! NYFW becomes a bit of a challenge because you want outfits and accessories that stand out, which means you may need to check both bags at the Southwest counter and pray neither one is over 50 pounds. I know I’m not the only one who crosses all fingers and toes as they place my suitcase on the scale! This season I carefully planned each of my outfits to ensure I’d get a ton of use with my base layers, while incorporating new pieces. In doing this, I was able to ensure there was plenty of room for my new favorite beauty products and accessories. I’ve switched up my make up and hair routine lately, and thought I’d answer some of your questions here! Here’s a look at what made it with me to NYC!
This weekender tote really came in handy for all that extra junk that couldn’t find a home in my suitcase. Not only does it have a zip pocket inside, but its sturdy and spacious!
If you plan to do a lot of walking during your travels, be sure to pack a comfy pair (or two) of sneakers, these Rose Gold Metallic ones were such a hit during day one paired with my dress and trench combo! You can see how I styled them on my Instagram for inspiration!
What girl can travel without her trusty hair care products? The compact dryer is foldable and the iron is only 7 ounces, making it convenient to pack in your carry on! Both the iron and wand are light and compact, while still providing those high quality and great results I talked about in my previous post here.

Just a few weeks ago I headed to my good friends at MAC and asked them to help me refresh my daily look. I opted for a classic and natural face, choosing a few basics that have turned into my go-to’s these last few weeks. It makes my routine fairly easy each morning in 8 simple steps, while still allowing me to look polished and put together throughout the day! Here’s a glance at what my every day routine is…
STEP ONE | MAC ‘Prep + Prime’ Beauty Balm w/ SPF 35 as a base layer.
STEP TWO | MAC ‘Mineralize’ Skinfinish Natural Powder gently over the top.
STEP THREE | Yves Saint Laurent ‘Touche Eclat’ Radiant Touch under eyes contour nose area.
STEP FOUR | MAC Powder Blush in Bushbaby for a warmer tone on cheeks.
STEP FIVE | MAC ‘Mineralize’ Skinfinish in Lightscapade as a highlighter above cheekbone area.
STEP SIX | Tom Ford Brow Sculptor to fill in the brow area.
STEP SEVEN | Dior ‘Diorshow Iconic Overcurl’ Mascara for extreme curl.
STEP EIGHT | Dior ‘Addict Glow’ Hydra Gel Mirror Shine Lipstick in 422 Dream for extra moisture and color.
