Y’all, it’s no secret… you are 80% more likely to get a cold during winter months, so making sure your immune system is in tip-top condition is equally as important as being prepared. There’s nothing more frustrating than experiencing a nasty cough while your knee deep in your holiday to-do list, or on your winter vacation! So today I’m excited to share three tips for staying healthy this winter in partnership with Robitussin®.
Boost your immune system throughout winter by eating a wide range of fresh foods including fruits and veggies. You should also increase your daily intake of vitamins, like Echinacea, garlic, vitamin C and or Zinc. We all tend to gravitate towards comfort foods as the days get colder, and they typically are high in fat, salt and sugar. Opt for a hearty bowl of soup that’s rich in vitamins and minerals instead!
Stay active, read my tips on how to get fit here and feel confident here. Less daylight means it becomes harder to find the motivation to exercise before or after work. It’s important to remember that keeping active during winter is essential to support our health and wellbeing! Make it a priority, move your exercise indoors, and allow adequate warm up time to get your blood circulating and muscles warm.
