Today’s outfit is fun, and a little over the top with the addition of this gold chain link necklace I scooped up from Anthropologie. As I mentioned in Monday’s post (you can recap it here), my style is constantly evolving depending on what mood I’m in that day. I can go from that darling slipdress to this embroidered mini skirt in seconds flat! So let’s talk about how I constructed today’s ensemble…
When I’m shopping online, I usually look for pieces that catch my eye or give me inspiration. Whether it’s a color I haven’t worn in awhile, intricate details, or new textures, I like to find pieces that make a statement. Today’s embroidered mini skirt instantly caught my attention with the fun pops of fall colors and pretty detailing. Fall in Texas is still extremely warm, so I wanted to make sure the outfit can easily transition to cooler temperatures. One of my biggest challenges with The Styled Fox, is trying to create looks that everyone can re-create at the same time, so I find it difficult to style cozy knits and scarves when its still 90+ degrees in Houston! So with today’s look, I opted for this v neck cami and my favorite moto jacket. The cam is made from a thin silk material and comes in multiple colors, but I love how this pretty raspberry version pulls out the red and orange tones in the skirt. Adding a moto jacket or a cardigan makes it easy for you to shed a layer when temperatures permit, while still giving you a glam pulled together look. And to top it off, this gold chain link necklace! It’s so fun and over the top, I just couldn’t say no!
What do you think of today’s look? Let me know in the comments below. Ps, this skirt is such a steal! be sure to pick it up ASAP! I can’t wait to wear it with a chunky cropped sweater in the winter.
