Can I be honest for a second? Yesterday I was browsing through my Insta feed while I was on the treadmill, and I just felt “bored.” I’m always scrolling through looking for new inspiration, and it seems like every blogger I follow has the same “style” these days: sweater, scarf, OTK boots and even the same 3 bags. Don’t get me wrong, I love these outfits just as much as anyone else, and definitely wear my fair share here on the blog and in real life. But sometimes I wonder if posting the same styled outfit would be perceived better by a larger audience, thus allowing The Styled Fox to grow faster. Nothing gets me more excited than when I create something new and fresh. Whether its incorporating textures, styling a piece I normally wouldn’t go for, or creating an ‘out of the box’ outfit – I feel more like a “fashion blogger” who is empowered and able to show range and versatility! For example, todays outfit includes this gorgeous embellished olive shirt, and reminds me of my emo high school days – casual yet emotional and cool. In a pretty autumnal olive hue, this point-collar shirt embellished in glittering swallows is sure to refresh your everyday wardrobe, which is a nice break from the typical sweater, scarf, OTK boots blogger outfit I’m seeing all over IG lately! I’d love to hear your input though… do you like the wide variety of outfits I share on The Styled Fox, or would you prefer more casual and everyday looks? Let me know in the comments below!
I hope your week is off to a great start! Chris and I have one more day until we leave for vacation, so I’m anxiously preparing for our trip and knocking out my lengthy to-do list. I’m SO ready for a few days of rest and relaxation, and to see some of my family members while we celebrate my cousin get married in Mexico! It will be my first time traveling this year, and first trip since last fashion week, so needless to say, I’m super pumped! Be sure to follow along on Instagram and InstaStories to see what we are up to!
