Last Wednesday my patience was tested in so many ways! The city of Houston was preparing for a tropical storm, which appeared to be nothing buy slight spurts of rain and thunder. However, due to the flooding we experienced a few weeks before, the city was preparing for the worst. I set off for my flight, which was set do depart at 12pm. After two and a half hours on delays, we finally boarded, only to sit on the run way for too long and have to return to the airport to refuel. We finally arrived in Charlotte, 9 hours later with a lost bag scare! So let’s just say, I couldn’t have been more excited to set off for Charleston early Thursday morning.
Upon our arrival, we headed straight to Poe’s Tavern on Sullivans Island. Just two blocks away from the beach, this place has the best burgers and fish taco’s around! If you haven’t been there before, I highly reccomend it and try the tuna tacos. All the seating is first come first serve, but well worth the wait. By the time we were finished, we made our way over to the beach to relax in the sun for a few hours. This part of Charleston is much more low key, so the beach was quiet and less crowded. We enjoyed some time in the sun before checking into the hotel and preparing for the night. Our late lunch allowed us the time to check out The Bar at Husk before eating. Sitting next to the infamous Husk restaurant is a little barn house turned bar, with delicious cocktails and lite bites. We caught up, laughed a lot and just enjoyed being in the beautiful city!
Outfit notes! This crop top didn’t turn out quite like it is pictured on the website! Not that I dislike it, it was just a little more revealing than what I had expected. I definitely felt more comfortable pairing it with my high waisted pants, showing less skin. I’m thinking these other two options here and here might have been more up my alley, but cute nonetheless. Fashion is about taking risks right?
