Valentines Day is that one day a year, where you’re surrounded by couples celebrating their love, and singles are trying not to notice! Yes, February 14th serves as a big reminder about relationships and romance, but you don’t have to have a significant other to enjoy it. If you are one that isn’t a big fan of the holiday, I would suggest avoiding couple-heavy restaurants, but that doesn’t mean you have to stay home for the evening.
Grab your girls and get ready for GALentines! I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with girlfriends, than sequins and bubbly! I have had so much fun dreaming up outfits for LOVE month, this one included. Whether you are single, or just itching for some girl time this week, including these two into the mix are sure to bring a smile to your face!
So if my blogger bestie Jennifer, DC creator and writer of Southern Anchors, and I were planning on celebrating this weekend, here are a few things we might consider…
– Throw an Anti- Valentine’s Day Party. Picture everyone wearing all black and the power ballad “Love Hurts” blasting through the speakers. I always love entertaining guests and hosting a dinner party! (By the way I should mention, I CAN cook!)
– Spa Day. I’m talking head to toe relaxation including, by not limited to, a massage, facial, manicure and pedicure. Maybe after an afternoon of brunch!
– Movie Night. Isn’t Fifty Shades of Grey coming out? Hand me a large popcorn and a Coca-Cola Icee! I am still considering dragging my boyfriend to this sometime soon…
– Create a Secret Valentine. Similar to Secret Santa… Shower your friend with flowers, chocolates and endless glasses of wine. I’m in!
Whats on the agenda for you and your girlfriends this weekend? I’d love to know! Drop me a line in the comments below. Be sure to check out Jennifer’s GALentine’s outfit of the day here.
